Process Safety Division

Functions

Process Safety Division enforces the Workplace Safety and Health (Facilities) (Control of Major Accident Hazards) Regulations (COMAH), 2013 particularly the Safety Case and Notification.

Stakeholders of Process Safety Division are from oil and gas/petrochemical facilities including Mobile Facility

Main Function:

  • Assessment of COMAH Notifications Submissions: Design and Relocation Notification (DN), Notification of Wells Operation (NOWO) and Decommissioning and Restoration (DRN) Notifications (including the Material Changes). Assessment of COMAH Notifications Submissions.
  • Assessment and Certification of COMAH Safety Cases Submissions: Fixed Facility, Mobile Facility, Combined Operations and Decommissioning & Restoration (including the Material Changes).
  • Provision of advice and guidance on COMAH Regulations, 2013 to Key Stakeholders and the Public.

Organisation Structure

Process Safety Division is headed by a Director and assisted by Assistant Director and Officers.
